BUD NORRIS, AstrosThe 28-year-old righthander has sharply improved his command this year, but his low ERA is the product of a lucky 4.4% rate of fly balls becoming homers. (The league average is 7.8%.) Houston would do well to deal Norris at a perceived high point, and before he gets expensive in 2014. He could help the A's, Indians or the Nationals.

Familiarity Breeds Outs

He only played 38 games, but Yasiel Puig was the most exciting player of the first half: After being called up on June 3, the Dodgers' phenom hit .391 with eight home runs, five steals, a 1.038 OPS and what has to be a record number of attempts at stretching a routine single into a double. But many a rookie has torched pitchers on his first trip around the circuit, only to ebb as teams figured out his tendencies and weaknesses—and the numbers suggest that Puig's second half might not be as electrifying as his first. Four teams have played two series against Los Angeles since Puig's arrival, and he's been much less scary the second time around.
